Holiday adventure with family and friends on top of Africa- what a way to end the year!

Quick and Joyful Kili

This December holiday season, MM Guide Ben Mality spent Christmas climbing Kilimanjaro with a strong family from Sweden! Their friends had climbed with Mountain Madness the previous December when Mark Gunlogson's family went to Tanzania and had nothing but wonderful things to say about their experience. So naturally, they were convinced that this was the best way for a family of 5 to spend their holidays. And all 5, ages 14 to 50, reached the roof of Africa on December 24th!

Kilimanjaro Summit - 16 out of 16!

MM Guide Ben Mality reports on our recent Kilimanjaro expedition:

Day 1 of our 16-person Kilimanjaro climb this late June started off with a comfortable night at our private camp in the Arusha National Park. At around 6,000 feet, it's great for acclimatization and the trekkers loved it. The staff was generous and made the comfortable tents and meals look amazing. Far away from the bustle of Arusha and far from the airport, there is no place like it to recover from your travels and get ready for the climb. Trekkers kept exclaiming, "what a place to stay before the climb!"

Human-powered global circumnavigator Erden Eruç departs for Mt. Kilimanjaro to climb with Mountain Madness and raise money for Tanzanian secondary school

This week, Seattle-based adventurer Erden Eruç launches the next phase in his quest to circumnavigate the world under human power, as part of his charitable organization, Around-n-Over (AnO). The mission is to assist poor communities by providing basic educational aid, resources, and facilities.
