The Vegas You Never Knew - Red Rocks Climbing

Sunny sandstone rock climbing in Las Vegas? It is the real deal- not like the smoke & mirrors or glitz and lights you find down on the Strip. Long time guest Sharad Honavar and I, MM guide Marc Ripperger, ventured out for a quick three day trip into Red Rocks National Conservation Area situated literally 5 minutes outside the city limits.

Start off Aconcagua Expedition with Steak and Wine!

Our fourth Aconcagua group has gathered in Mendoza and are all prepared for their adventure! Ian wrote in saying that the group is super stoked and the energy is running really high. "The group is also working super well together and communicating as though they've known each other for years!" The team says hi to their loved ones back home. Aconcagua Expedition Reality Check For Group #3

Aconcagua is just a walk-up.  Or at least that is what I am told by a lot of prospective climbers I meet down here in Argentina.  

I am back in Mendoza soaking up the sun and heat, warming my soul to the bones.  But just a few days ago I was suiting up in my full summit day attire just to exit my tent in screaming winds and driving snow to deliver food and water to my teammates hunkered down at Nido de Condores - Camp 2, 4500 ft below the summit.
