Peru’s Cordillera Blanca season wrap-up

Old classics and exciting new summits were reached this season with four teams visiting the Blanca, what many consider to be the most stunning range outside of the Himalaya. The sometimes funky equatorial snow conditions during the season created some difficult conditions, but Yanapaccha, Pisco Oeste, Artesonraju, and Toclaraju were climbed. Our last team on Chopakalki hit some high winds that turned them around oh so close to the summit. Certainly the season’s highlight though was an ascent of Artesonraju.

Meanwhile, our next Inca Trail trip will be underway early October with particpants also taking advantage of our new Amazon extension in a jungle lodge- check out the link below.
