2010 sum­ma­ry: 20 out of 22 climbers + guides successful

Our Mt. Elbrus sea­son has come to a suc­cess­ful close with our third and final ascent of the high­est peak in Europe. One of the most excit­ing and dynam­ic places on earth, Elbrus is an admirable feat and the best way to tru­ly expe­ri­ence this fas­ci­nat­ing part of the world! Our climbers spent time in Moscow for glimpses into Rus­si­a’s rich cul­ture and his­to­ry before head­ing for the hills. 

In July, Mark Ryman and Ossy Freire led a group of nine climbers on an Elbrus Climb and Ski Descent. Eight of the nine made it to the sum­mit. And some great turns were had by the skiers!

Lat­er that month, Ossy was back on the moun­tain with nine more climbers and, again, eight of the clients reached the sum­mit suc­cess­ful­ly. One climber enjoyed the good weath­er and had enough strength left to reach the slight­ly low­er East sum­mit of Elbrus the same day!

Ear­ly August marked the third trip to Elbrus, where Ossy led all five of his climbers to the sum­mit on August 10^th. Con­grat­u­la­tions to everyone!
