Madness Team Summits Orizaba!

Con­grat­u­la­tions to Gavin, Robert, and Sabi­na, who all sum­mit­ted the Mex­i­can Vol­cano Oriz­a­ba, despite chal­leng­ing weath­er con­di­tions, includ­ing more snow than the locals have seen since the 1990s. Richard, Tony, and Lau­ren all set per­son­al high alti­tude records, too!

Accord­ing to Mad­ness guide Jason Bro­man, Sabi­na and Lauren’s favorite part of the trip was watch­ing the play­ful­ness of the locals with the fresh snow. ​“El Paso de Cortez was a huge par­ty dur­ing the time we were there!” Jason said. ​“As you can imag­ine, Mex­i­co doesn’t get much snow, so this was a big oppor­tu­ni­ty for celebration.”
