Peru and Ecuador Summits Reached!

Peru dispatch from Alejo and Joshua:

This season begins with two expeditions; one to Yanapaccha and Pisco and the other to Yanapaccha and Artensonraju, one of the most stunning peaks in the range. After a great job with the acclimatization hikes for both teams, MM guide Joshua Jarrin reported that he, Jonathan and Robert reached the top of Yanapaccha several days ago.

Logan Team Back To Civilization

Tino called from the car yesterday to report that they were picked up by the pilot at 10pm Monday night after a 36-hour delay at base camp and flew to the Ultima Thule lodge where they spent the night. Yesterday morning they flew to Chitina for the drive back to Anchorage. They stopped to pick up some burgers in preparation for the 4-5 hour drive back and were celebrating being near civilization again. [+] READ MORE

Mountain Madness team summits Mt. Logan!

We just talked to MM Guides Joe Stock and Tino Villanueva and got the news that they and teammates Michael Thomas, Glenn Wilson and Paul Muscat successfully climbed Mt. Logan yesterday (June 15). At 19,545 feet, Logan is the highest peak in Canada and the second highest peak in North America. A huge congratulations from all of us in Seattle! [+] READ MORE
