3 Instructors + 12 New Guides = 5 Days of Madness!

Mountain Madness would like to welcome to the family twelve new guides who just completed the 2017 New Guide Training: Kerr Adams, Alana Chapko, Everett Coba, Mallorie Estenson, Robert Fitzgerald, Marina Fitzpatrick, Dodge Garfield, Tyler Haasch, Arthur Herlitzka, Nick Naason, Jacob Oram, and Matt Rogers. These guides spent two days mastering multi-pitch rock skills in Leavenworth and three days in the alpine of Washington Pass in the North Cascades. MM guide Marina Fitzpatrick shares with us her experience:

Squeezing In One More Day of Rock Climbing In the North Cascades.

I was able to squeeze one last alpine rock climbing trip into a great summer in the North Cascades. As the snow now descends upon the Cascades and the Pacific Northwesterners put a fresh coat of wax on their skis I was happy to get one last trip in on some alpine rock. Joe Sabek and I were able to enjoy the last day of summer in Washington Pass.

Our alpine climbing program is a huge success. Normally we start our trip by heading to the small town of Leavenworth and learning the basics of rock climbing; however the heat wave ripping through Washington made us reevaluate that option and instead we decided on the cooler option of climbing at Mt.
