Nepal Update

As the country of Nepal continues to make a slow recovery, Mountain Madness is still actively working to allocate the money all of you have generously donated through our GoFundMe account. For those of you who have travelled with us to Nepal, you have likely met Dawa Sherpa, our lead Sherpa. And for those who were on the trek with us during the earthquake, they continued to experience his kind heart and generosity as he and his family welcomed them to a meal outside their destroyed home.

First Ama Dablam Expedition Departing!

MM Swedish client Per O. joined MM Nepali guide Tulsi Gurung Sherpa recently in Kathmandu as they both prepare for their upcoming ascent of Ama Dablam! Remembering at Everest Base Camp

On every trek to Everest Base Camp, we climb the Lobuche Pass, with its sweeping Himalayan panoramas and string of stone chortens remembering lost climbers. Last season, our lead guide in Nepal, Dawa Nuru Sherpa, remarked that with the incessant wind and weather, Scott Fischer's memorial was looking rather faded and that we should repaint it.
