Colorado ice season is just around the corner!

We will be offering opportunities to ice climb both in the Ouray Ice Park and surrounding Alpine Ice as well. Custom dates are available and will be offered starting in beginning of January, and go through the beginning of March, weather permitting. With the cold needed for solid ice, self-care techniques are necessary to keep these experiences fun and enjoyable. Mixed Routes and Big Challenges on Dragontail

I met Dave B. in downtown Seattle on a particularly wet and rainy morning. His goal was to climb as big and challenging alpine ice and mixed routes as the Cascades had to offer.  The forecast for the western slopes of the Cascades was rain and snow for four out of five days.
