Elbrus Climbing Season Approaching

We're getting excited for our Elbrus season to begin in a couple of months with 4 trips filling quickly with climbers and skiers alike. Our client favorites, MM Guides Oswaldo Freire and Mark Ryman, will be heading up the expeditions this year.

Mt. Elbrus

This year, we're making St. Petersburg extensions easier to book to give our climbers an opportunity to see more of the great cultural sights of Russia. For an additional 2 days, climbers can travel to St. Petersburg and see Nevsky Prospect, St. Petersburg's lively main street, the Kazan Cathedral, Pushkin, and other great sights of this beautiful city. We will visit the magnificent buildings of the Hermitage and the Ekaterina Palace in Pushkin. Our local guide will give you a glimpse into this city and its amazing history; just another way to immerse yourself in the country before or after your adventure on the summit of Mount Elbrus.

St. Petersburg

And have we got a smackdown for you! Champion wrestler John Layfield will be joining us to climb the highest peak in Europe, his first of the Seven Summits, as he raises money for a kids' program in Bermuda.

John, a former WWE wrestling champion, will be attempting to plant a Bermuda flag at the top of each of the Seven Summits in an effort to raise money for children in Bermuda through the Family Centre. 100% of the proceeds will go to this center.

John Layfield training for his climbs

"I have been enamored with Everest since I was a kid reading about Sir Hillary and Mallory. My goal is to climb the Seven Summits by age 50 (I am 45 now and will start with Elbrus in June.) I tell these kids in Bermuda that "we all have mountains." The kids will mimic my climb with an endeavor of their own while I'm on the mountains."
