2010 summary: 20 out of 22 climbers + guides successful

Our Mt. Elbrus season has come to a successful close with our third and final ascent of the highest peak in Europe. One of the most exciting and dynamic places on earth, Elbrus is an admirable feat and the best way to truly experience this fascinating part of the world! Our climbers spent time in Moscow for glimpses into Russia's rich culture and history before heading for the hills.

In July, Mark Ryman and Ossy Freire led a group of nine climbers on an Elbrus Climb and Ski Descent. Eight of the nine made it to the summit. And some great turns were had by the skiers!

Later that month, Ossy was back on the mountain with nine more climbers and, again, eight of the clients reached the summit successfully. One climber enjoyed the good weather and had enough strength left to reach the slightly lower East summit of Elbrus the same day!

Check out some videos from our Ski Descent trip:

Early August marked the third trip to Elbrus, where Ossy led all five of his climbers to the summit on August 10th. Congratulations to everyone!
