Everest Base Camp Trekker Glenn Bacheller Reports From Namche Bazar!

We spent our second day in Namche Bazar. It started with an acclimatization to a little over 12,00 feet. We were hoping for views of Everest but, unfortunately, Mother Nature did not cooperate. We ended the hike with a trip to one of the village’s monasteries which we had to our selves along with a chanting monk.

After the hike it was off to the village’s bakery for a sampling of a lot of goodies. What a way to reward ourselves for our efforts on the hike. The rest of the day was spent searching…for the internet (down most of the day), showers (ones that either didn’t scold or freeze us) and for that perfect gift for someone from the many market stalls scattered throughout the village.

I know I speak for everyone in the group when I say that we are so blessed to be in this incredible part of the world and to be supported by such wonderful people as Deanna and the rest of the staff. Thank you Mountain Madness!
